Beyond our Portuguese production, we offer an extended range of barrels through the group's partner cooperages — Alba Cooperage (Scotland), B’OAK (France) and Dair Nua (Ireland). A single point of contact, a complete European portfolio.
When it makes sense to choose this range
Suited to projects with specifications outside the Portuguese catalogue, to brands that want scale and variety with a single point of contact, and to multi-reference portfolios where the same client needs Scotch casks, French casks and Portuguese barrels at the same time. The coordination stays on our side — your team deals with a single commercial relationship.
Network origins
Alba Cooperage — Scotland, whisky specialist
A cooperage based in Rutherglen, awarded Cooperage of the Year 2025 by the Icons of Whisky. Specialised in the repair, maintenance and regeneration of casks used by the Scottish industry, with a strong focus on traceability and the quality of matured whisky supply. A natural source for regenerated casks with a classic Scotch profile.
B’OAK — France, oak with an oenological profile
The group's French cooperage, with a tradition in French oak and refined oenological profiles. Suited to projects where the goal is to work the delicacy, tannic structure and aromatic balance typical of French work.
Dair Nua Cooperage — Ireland, supply to Irish whiskey
A cooperage in Foxford, County Mayo, dedicated to the Irish whiskey industry: cask inspections, repair, re-charring, de-charring and resizing, with access to a broad selection of specialty casks sourced internationally for whiskey maturation.
Categories available through the network
Regenerated Whisky Casks — Scotland
Ex-whisky casks regenerated through DCRC (De-char & Re-char) or STR processes, with the profile adjusted for a new working life of maturation. Suited to distillers seeking controlled technical performance and a predictable aromatic profile.
Bourbon Casks — 1st fill and ex-Bourbon
Access to first-fill Bourbon casks in standard format (200L) and resized versions, with traceability to the distillery of origin. Available from the group's cooperages, with full technical preparation before dispatch.
Sherry Casks — Spain, certified or non-certified
The Sherry range has a dedicated page — it combines official Jerez certification, old bodega barrels and STR rejuvenated hogsheads. It can be integrated into the network's overall proposal as part of a multi-reference portfolio.
Wine-Driven Casks — European wine profiles
Access to ex-wine casks from various European origins for finishing and maturation projects with a marked vinous influence. Selected according to the sensory profile sought for the final spirit.
How we work
Tell us the spirit and the goal
We recommend the most suitable references based on the type of drink, the goal (maturation or finishing), the volume required and the timeframe. Sourcing is coordinated across the group's cooperages according to the best technical and logistical combination.
Volumes, timeframes and dispatch
We validate availability, total volume, schedule and dispatch in a single circuit. For ongoing projects, we can structure recurring supply with dedicated references. The proposal comes out fully consolidated — you do not need to manage relationships with each cooperage separately.
